Free AI Architecture Rendering: Tiers and No-Login Tools
Free AI architectural rendering is real in 2026, but "free" means something different on every site that advertises it. One tool gives 800 credits a month, another gives ten renders in total, a third gives a daily allowance that resets overnight, and one will render without an account at all.
This guide is that comparison, with the numbers taken from each vendor's own pricing page rather than from memory.
The short answer: Vizcom has the largest standard free plan (800 credits a month, HD export), mnml.ai gives 100 free credits on signup with no card, MyArchitectAI gives 10 renders once, and home-design.ai is the one that advertises rendering without an account. Archmaster, our own tool, gives 1 free render after sign-in with no card. For unlimited and private, run Stable Diffusion locally.
For the complete overview of AI tools for architects, see the AI Tools for Architects Guide.
Key Takeaways
- Vizcom has the most generous standard free plan of the hosted tools: 800 credits a month, roughly 200 images, HD export
- Verified students and educators get Vizcom's education plan free, with 15,000 credits a month
- home-design.ai is the only tool here that advertises rendering without signup; the rest need an account
- mnml.ai gives 100 free credits on signup and Archmaster (our own tool) 1 free render, both with no credit card
- Stable Diffusion with ControlNet is unlimited and private, at the cost of a 20 to 60 minute local setup
- The first wall on a free tier is almost always export resolution or monthly credits, not render quality
How we checked this
This is a documentation review, not a hands-on bake-off. Every allowance, price and limit below was read off the vendor's own pricing or product page on 20 September 2026 (mnml.ai and Archmaster added on 25 September 2026), and each row in the comparison table links to the page it came from.
Where a vendor does not publish a number — Arko AI's pricing page lists subscription tiers without figures, MyArchitectAI names three plans without prices — this guide says so rather than estimating. Two tools that appear on similar lists were left out for that reason: if we could not verify the free terms from the source, they are not in the table.
These terms change often. If you are reading this months later, treat the table as a starting point and check the date on each vendor's page.
Does free AI architectural rendering actually work?
The RIBA AI Report 2025, which surveyed around 500 RIBA members, found that 59% of UK architecture practices now use AI tools, and the Chaos and Architizer global survey of roughly 800 respondents in March 2026 found 86% of architects saying AI saves them time. Many of them arrived through a free tier.
The shift that made free tiers usable was image conditioning. Early free tools took a text prompt and produced a generic building. Current tools read the sketch or photo you upload and hold its geometry while replacing surfaces and materials, which is the difference between an image of a building and an image of your building.
For a technical explanation of the pipeline, see How AI Architecture Tools Work.
What a free tier usually costs you
Across the tools below, free plans differ on four axes, and it pays to know which one will stop you first:
- Allowance. Monthly credits (Vizcom: 800), a daily reset (Adobe Firefly), or a one-time grant that never refills (MyArchitectAI: 10 renders).
- Export ceiling. Vizcom's free plan is HD; 4K is a paid feature. This is the limit that bites on A2 and A1 boards.
- Rights and data. Adobe states Firefly outputs are safe for commercial use. Vizcom's terms note generated images may be used to improve the service. These are not the same promise.
- Speed. Free tiers commonly sit in a slower queue, which matters the night before a crit rather than in the abstract.
The free tools, and what each one actually gives you
1. Vizcom — the most generous standard free plan
Free plan: 800 credits a month on the Starter tier, which Vizcom's comparison puts at roughly 200 images, 14 animations or 20 3D models. HD export, 25 GB storage.
Paid: Professional is $49 a month per user for 20,000 credits, priority rendering and 4K export. Annual billing is 30% cheaper. Education is free for verified students and educators, with 15,000 credits a month.
What it does: Vizcom is built around sketch-to-render. Upload a hand drawing, a digital sketch or rough CAD line work and it holds your composition while generating the render. It reads geometry from line drawings more reliably than a general-purpose image model does without a tuned ControlNet setup.
Worth knowing: the education plan is nearly nineteen times the standard free allowance. If you qualify, apply before you pay anyone.

2. home-design.ai — the one that renders without an account
Free plan: the page states "No signup, instant results & download" and "Design any room online with AI from photo or text without login." It also shows a credit counter with a "Log in to get free credit" prompt, so the no-account path is real but limited.
What it does: photo-to-design and text-to-design in the browser, aimed at rooms and interiors rather than facades. For an architect it is the fastest way to see what a model does to your image before committing an email address to anything.
Worth knowing: this is the honest answer to the "without login" searches. Most tools that rank for that phrase still ask for an account the moment you press generate.

3. Adobe Firefly — a daily allowance rather than a monthly one
Free plan: Adobe's plans page says you "receive free daily generations to try Adobe Firefly" and that limits refresh every day. Adobe does not publish the exact free count on that page, so treat it as "enough to test, not enough to work".
Paid: Firefly Standard is listed at €11.35 a month for 2,000 credits and Pro at €22.73 for 4,000 (prices shown in euros on the EU plans page).
What it does: text-to-image and generative fill with architectural styles. Generative fill is the useful part for buildings: mask a facade element and replace it, rather than regenerating the whole image.
Worth knowing: Adobe states outputs from Firefly models are safe for commercial use, which is a clearer rights position than most tools on this list offer.

4. MyArchitectAI — ten renders, then it stops
Free plan: "Get 10 renders free." It is a one-time grant, not a monthly allowance.
Paid: the site names Basic, Business and Enterprise plans but does not publish prices on the page we checked.
What it does: uploads from CAD and 3D tools to photorealistic output, pitched squarely at architects rather than at general image generation.
Worth knowing: ten renders is roughly two serious attempts at one view once you factor in re-rolls. Treat it as an evaluation, not a free tier.

5. Stable Diffusion + ControlNet — unlimited, private, and the most work
Free plan: fully free and unlimited. Open source, installed locally.
What it does: with the ControlNet extension it conditions generation on your line work or photo, which is the same mechanism the hosted tools use, with your choice of architectural checkpoint.
The cost is setup: 20 to 60 minutes for a first install, a GPU with around 8 GB of VRAM (or patience on CPU), and comfort with a terminal. Output quality depends heavily on configuration, so budget an evening before you need it.
Worth knowing: it is the only option here where your project images never leave your machine. For a confidential brief or a competition entry, that alone can decide it.
6. mnml.ai — 100 credits on signup, no card
Free plan: "100 free credits on signup, no card required," per its pricing page. An account is needed to use them.
Paid: Lite is $29 a month for 1,000 credits, billed monthly.
What it does: sketch, photo or SketchUp, Revit and Rhino views to a render, with tools to refine the result, aimed at architects and designers.
Worth knowing: 100 credits is a one-time grant at signup, so it is an evaluation budget rather than a monthly free tier like Vizcom's.

7. Archmaster — 1 free render after sign-in (our own tool)
Free plan: 1 free render when you sign in with Google or email, with no credit card and no watermark. It is one render, not a free tier.
Paid: $9.99 a week for 30 credits, or $99.99 a year; details on the pricing page.
What it does: takes a hand sketch or a viewport screenshot straight from SketchUp, Revit or Rhino and returns a photorealistic render, and does facades and interiors through the same photo-based workflow. AI architecture rendering covers what that mode does and where it stops.
Worth knowing: we make Archmaster, so weigh this entry accordingly. One render is enough to see how it treats your geometry, not enough to work in it.
Comparison table
Checked against each vendor's own page on 20 September 2026; mnml.ai and Archmaster on 25 September 2026.
| Tool | Free allowance | Account needed to render | Export on free tier | First paid tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vizcom | 800 credits/month (~200 images) | Yes | HD | $49/mo |
| home-design.ai | Credit-based, limited | No (advertised) | Not published | Not published |
| Adobe Firefly | Daily generations, resets daily | Yes | Not published | €11.35/mo |
| MyArchitectAI | 10 renders, one time | Yes | Not published | Not published |
| Stable Diffusion + ControlNet | Unlimited | No (local install) | Your hardware's limit | Free |
| mnml.ai | 100 credits, one time, no card | Yes | Not published | $29/mo |
| Archmaster (ours) | 1 render, one time, no card | Yes | No watermark | $9.99/week |
"Not published" means the vendor does not state it on the page we checked, not that the limit does not exist.
Which one fits your situation
Architecture students
Apply for Vizcom's education plan first: 15,000 credits a month, free, for verified students and educators. If that falls through, the standard 800-credit plan still covers a semester of concept work. Use local Stable Diffusion when the brief is confidential.
Early-career architects and small practices
Vizcom's free plan handles three to five directions for an early client meeting. When resolution becomes the constraint — usually at the first formal presentation — one month of a paid tier costs less than an hour of billable time.
Competition entrants
Local Stable Diffusion with ControlNet, for the reason above: nothing you upload goes anywhere. Setup time is the price of that guarantee.
What free tools will not do well
Dimensional accuracy. No tool here knows your building's dimensions. Renders can show proportions that read correctly and are structurally impossible. Never take a measurement off an AI render.
Code compliance. AI renders know nothing about egress, fire separation or local planning rules.
Print resolution. Where the free tier caps export — Vizcom at HD, for instance — A2 and A1 boards will need a paid month.
Complex geometry. Curved envelopes, irregular footprints, split levels and complicated roofs produce more errors on every tool tested by anyone. Orthogonal buildings with legible facades come back cleanest.
Citation capsule: As of September 2026, free AI architecture rendering tiers differ mainly in allowance and export ceiling rather than in render quality. Vizcom's free plan gives 800 credits a month with HD export and a free 15,000-credit education plan for verified students; MyArchitectAI grants 10 renders once; Adobe Firefly resets a daily allowance; home-design.ai advertises rendering without signup; mnml.ai gives 100 credits on signup with no card; Archmaster gives 1 free render after sign-in with no card; and locally installed Stable Diffusion with ControlNet is unlimited and keeps images on your machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use an AI architecture rendering tool without creating an account?
One of the tools above advertises it: home-design.ai states "No signup, instant results & download" and "without login". The same page shows a credit counter and a "Log in to get free credit" prompt, so expect the no-account path to be limited. Locally installed Stable Diffusion also needs no account, because nothing leaves your machine. Vizcom, Adobe Firefly, MyArchitectAI, mnml.ai and Archmaster all require one; mnml.ai (100 credits) and Archmaster (1 render, our own tool) ask for no credit card.
How good is free AI architectural rendering compared to paid tools?
On the tools that publish their limits, free and paid tiers run the same models; the allowance and the export ceiling are what change. Vizcom's free plan exports HD while 4K sits behind the $49 Professional tier. So free output is usually good enough for concept and studio work, and the wall you hit first is resolution or credits rather than quality.
For a paid tool comparison, see Best AI Rendering Tools for Architects in 2026.
Are free AI rendering tools good enough for architecture school projects?
For concept and design development, yes. Vizcom's free education plan (15,000 credits a month for verified students and educators) covers considerably more than that. For final print boards, check your tool's export ceiling before the night you need it.
Is free AI rendering safe for confidential competition work?
Read the terms first. Vizcom's note that generated images may be used to improve the service is typical of hosted tools. When the brief is confidential, run Stable Diffusion with ControlNet locally.
For technical background on how these tools work, see How AI Architecture Tools Work.
The right tool for the right stage
Free AI architectural rendering in 2026 is not a compromise for concept work. It is a compromise for final deliverables, and the specific compromise is nearly always resolution or allowance.
Match the tool to the stage: Vizcom from hand sketches, and its education plan if you qualify; Stable Diffusion locally when the brief is confidential or you need unlimited generation; Firefly if you are already inside Creative Cloud and want generative fill on a facade; home-design.ai when you want to see output before handing over an email address.
Pay for a month at the point where the export ceiling blocks the deliverable, not before.
